Plaintiffs Can Look Into JAMS’ Relationship With Blue Cross

Los Angeles judge allows plaintiffs in a class action against insurance company Blue Cross to obtain information about Blue Cross’s sole arbitration provider, JAMS. The discovery request was to obtain information that might shed light on the neutrality of an arbitration company. The concern is that arbitration companies that have a cozy relationship with a large company may not be neutral.
