In recent Los Angeles Times articles Mr. Glovsky’s client,  Samantha Cowart, was featured as an Anthem Preferred Provider Organization plan (“PPO”) member that was misled into an exclusive provider organization plan (“EPO”).  In PPO plans members have access to a large network of providers and the ability to obtain covered treatment from out-of-network providers. In EPO plans members only have access to an extremely limited network of providers and no ability to obtain covered treatment from out-of-network providers.
