Cowart v. Anthem Blue Cross, et al. Anthem sued for misleading California individual plan members about the doctors in its networks for its ACA (“Obamacare”) plans in 2014. Anthem agrees to reimburse members who paid more out-of-pocket because they received medical services from an out-of-network professional. Uncapped claims fund allows members the opportunity to recover 100% of the out-of-pocket expenses for medical services rendered by an out-of-network professional in 2014.
