FAQs for Victims of the California Wildfires
Californians have experienced many natural disasters over the years, yet perhaps none as devastating as the Pasadena fires and other LA County fires. Hundreds of thousands of residents have been displaced, with entire neighborhoods decimated. The wildfires include Eaton, Palisades, Hurst, Sunset, Kenneth, Archer, Creek, Lidia, and others. In less than a week, these fires have burned more than 40,000 acres – the size of Washington D.C., and are not yet contained.
Homes, businesses, schools, libraries, and medical facilities no longer exist, leaving Californians to face the long, difficult process of rebuilding and re-envisioning their lives. While the future may look fairly bleak right now for so many, we at the Law Offices of Scott Glovsky want you to know that there are resources available to help you now and in the future.
Attorney Scott Glovsky and his team have been helping Californians for decades when insurance companies that promised to protect them have fallen short in providing that help in times of need. If your insurance company is already dodging your calls or you later experience unreasonable delays or outright denials, we want you to know we will fight for you and your family. If you feel defeated and exhausted, we understand. You need a strong advocate in your corner who really cares about your future and that advocate is Attorney Scott Glovsky.
Why Choose Us?
As many Californians who have lost their homes or businesses may already know, there are many attorneys attempting to speak to them. The aftermath of the fires is chaotic – to say the least – and it can be difficult to know who to trust. Attorney Scott Glovsky has teamed up with Attorneys Robert Jackson and Eric Ratinoff to help those who are feeling lost and unsure of what they can do do to positively impact their futures. As serious Southern California wildfire lawyers and insurance bad faith lawyers, we believe that results speak for themselves, and that integrity and reputation are everything.
We have represented our fellow Californians during fires that occurred from 2007 to the present, including the 2007 San Diego Wildfires, the 2012 Hollow Fire, the 2015 Butte Fire, the 2016 Erskine Fire, the 2017 North Bay Fires, the 2019 Kincaide Fire, and the recent Pasadena (Eaton) and LA County fires. More than 5,000 victims of utility-caused wildfires have benefitted from the recovery of more than $1.8 billion. Attorney Robert Jackson has served as Lead Liaison counsel and Lead Trial Lawyer in many of these cases, telling the stories of those affected, and acting as coordinator, communicator, and the voice for the plaintiffs.
With more than 99 years of collective experience representing vulnerable Californians against big, impersonal insurance companies, our three attorneys are authorities on every aspect of insurance. Attorney Scott Glovsky has spent more than three decades going up against armies of corporate attorneys to help those who have experienced bad faith insurance and insurance denials. Success in these cases requires laser focus and always being 110 percent prepared for any eventuality. Attorneys Eric Ratinoff and Robert Jackson have reviewed thousands of property insurance policies from past wildfires.
Working as a team, our attorneys will review your fire insurance policies, help you understand your coverage and what you are entitled to under that coverage. We will help you communicate with your insurer and help you understand the process involved in recovery. Our services are offered pro-bono, with no recovery from property insurance policies. You will benefit from working directly with our lawyers, never with less experienced paralegals or junior attorneys.
It is expected that there will be thousands of cases against utility companies in the near future. Being close to the front of the line is extremely advantageous. Our experience allows us to know how to move your case to the front of the line. We ask you to do what many attorneys will not – ask others about us. The three of us have had long, successful careers as ethical, trustworthy attorneys who know how to secure justice for those who may be unsure whether justice even exists anymore. Many of our cases come from word-of-mouth because we treat our clients like we would treat our own family members.
Regardless of whether you have homeowner’s insurance or separate fire insurance, we will fight for you, helping you get back on your feet. We handle each case individually, which means we will be your voice, tell your story, and give you the hands-up you need right now. If you would like to speak to one of our attorneys, please call (626) 602-7333 or go to our website for additional resources and to see how we can help you and your family.
